Cheaper, upgraded Scout Courier

While no energy points are used, the formula implies that the power plant can only produce so much energy, and that the ship distributes it evenly to the ship systems, automatic priority going to manoeuvre drives.

I thought that Particle Beam turrets were single weapon mounts. I know that you need to up the PP rating to 3 or 4? in order mount them.

They are single weapon mounts. But that single mount must be a triple turret according to High Guard errata.

And you can mount particle beams with any power plant level. You are just limited to how many you can have.

Fusion and particle bays can only be fitted in ships with a power plant rating of 3+. There are no limits on the fitting of non–energy weapons, lasers and railguns. If the power plant rating is 3 or 4 a maximum of 50% of turret weapons can be particle beams. If the power plant rating is 1 or 2, a maximum of 25% of turret weapons can be particle beams.

If you have a 100, 200 or 300 ton ship, you cannot mount any unless you have a PP of Rating 5. You round down. I omitted that in my post. sorry.

I don't usually post, but I do lurk.

Just one question: How do you get such an inexpensive maneuver drive? The standard price for a Drive A is Cr4,000,000; one costing Cr1,200,000 is a savings of 70% and the High Guard rules state that the maximum savings based on tech level is 30% (5% per tech level difference to a maximum of 30%). As far as I can tell the drive should cost Cr2,800,000, not Cr1,200,000.

Otherwise a great looking design.

Thank you for that! spreadsheet glitch.

revised Scout price
Maintenance Cost (monthly): Cr2,129
Revised total price: 22,891,050

revised Seeker price
Maintenance Cost (monthly):Cr2,037
Revised total price: Cr22,003,200 a savings of over MCr4

This caused me to review everything. I found that the price in the Rule book for the Seeker was mis-added. The actual price in the Rule Book should be: Cr:26,005,500

It is incorrectly listed as: Cr22,765,500
