Character driven games?

who here has name characters amoungst their force. Minatures you embelish with story and watch with interest during the game? Im thinking on building a SST force not on tactics but on character and im just interested in who out there does this as well?

MI lieutenants and other 'characters' do tend to become the focus of games, for whatever reason. You spend all those points on flashy Lts.

A good bug player will ignore them, and focus on overall strategy, or land a plasma bug burst on their heads in good time :)

I guess it just happens to be the tendency for gamers to aim at the big, shiney models (or small, expensive ones).

that lt rendars a crazy bastard . he moved up from cap trooper to a pathfinder squad leader . the little plastic guy makes me proud!

Lt. Jayne Daxson from the 'anaconda' thing in the start of the Pathfinder book next box I'm conveting one into the chick on the front cover there she is story and all.

Funnily enough my cap platoons lietnaunt is noticably cheaper than the NCO :D

Since lietnaunt is so usefull(those promote actions are good) I don't want to endanger them=small cap suit is fine. NCO's are more of "kick em hard!" suited so he got the marauder suit.
