[Central Supply Catalogue]Ammo weight?

I just got the Central Supply Catalogue and I love it, but I still do not see a listing for how much firearm ammunition weighs. The weights of "High-Capacity Autopistol Magazines" are listed, but not regular mags, nor for rifles, SMGs, or machineguns. The power packs for lasers are there (hooray! :D ) but nothing for slugthrowers. Am I looking in the wrong areas?

mmm..... Maybe for game-play purposes this was left out. I think it was the same in the core book.

I'll get out my book and see. In the morning.

I noticed this too. Ive been going through the original Little black books and megatraveller, and some TNE, and some Twilight 2000 stuff and penciling it in the books as I find it.

There was a previous thread on the same subject, including a handy solution for those interested:

Well, I dug out my "Games 1-6+ The Classic Games" reprint and in "Striker" it has most of the weights or workable equivalents. I do think it a little strange that I had to go to a different (if related) game to get the info.

well one think I look at is, how important is encumbrance to the game? I'm one of those people that prefer to enforce encumbrance rules. But that was playing Sword&sorcery RPGs where players try to carry like 350,000 lbs of treasure without any penalties and I get tired of that crap very quickly.

I am very interested in seeing what others come up with (maybe it can be compiled and put on the MGT-Aids elist file section)

Not using the encumbrance rules is fine, but I would like some more consistency. I mean, it lists a machine gin ammo box as a weight "plus the weight of the ammo" and then does not list the ammo's weight. (That I could find.)

yep, that's a problem. I just double checked the pdf and nope, there is nothing on ammo wt.

I wonder if there is anything in the central equipment catalog?
