Centauri Adira Royal Battleship

Just going with what their entry in the fleet list section says. They're in a genocidal holy war against the Drakh, so I'm guessing they're willing to do whatever they have to. Either way, it would've been a nice ship to see in the supplement.

they may do what they have to but they are also not sadistic and masters of destruction as stated is a state of mind of the dilgar as a whole, its why they also get it on their pulse lasers when the EA dont.

B5freak - I hope that's meant to be an Armageddon ship because otherwise...that's pretty powerful for War level.

Katadder - Pretty nice ship. Fiddly interceptors rules though, it'd be much easier just to use space station interceptors rules. It does have minor differences in firepower and defences compared to mine that has the +1 command bonus. Make of that what you will :p

And for completeness (if there are no more to come...), my version:

The Juyaca Dreadnaught: Priorty Level: War
Speed Turns Hull Damage Crew Troops Craft
6 1/45 6 75/15 85/20 7 none

Special: Jump Point, Interceptors 10, Command +1

Weapons:
Combat Laser Array Range Arc AD Special
15 F 6 AP, Beam, Precise
15 P 4 AP, Beam, Precise
15 S 4 AP, Beam, Precise
15 A 3 AP, Beam, Precise

Quad Bolter Array Range Arc AD Special
15 F 8 AP, Double Damage, Twin-Linked
15 P 10 AP, Double Damage, Twin-Linked
15 S 10 AP, Double Damage, Twin-Linked
15 A 8 AP, Double Damage, Twin-Linked

Quad Particle Beams Range Arc AD Special
5 T 4 Anti-Figher, Twin-Linked

Burger, didnt say every every ship is bad, but most of them do not have a good money/return value index.

On the Juyaca, some very nice ships.

Just one thought, do some of you think, that Abbai grav shields should be better represented, than just having even more interceptors? Cause the difference of 8 versus 10 is kinda superficial.....

Lots to reply to:

Perhaps it starts as a state of mind, but the Dilgar book specifically says, "The Dilgar excel at displays of terribly destructive power, tearing apart enemy vessels as much for the gesture as to earn victory. Many Dilgar weapons are designed specifically for this purpose."

The Earth-Minbari war book further states that EA reverse-engineerd Dilgar weapons to outfit the Bolter Nova, so it's entirely possible that the Abbai did a better job, reproducing weapons capable of the same destructive power as originally designed into the actual Dilgar weaponry while EA simply made a poorer copy. Not that I really care, just being specific.

Triggy - Yep, Armageddon. Given that it's supposed to patrol the spaceways all by itself, figured it should probably be above War.

Voronesh - Agree that the standard Interceptor mechanic is a case of deminishing returns. Once you reach 3-4 dice under the current mechanic, the addition of any more dice doesn't really buy you much. That's why I went with using the Space Station Interceptor rules. Also, there seems to be a lot of interest with not adding any more mechanics, so I used what was available.

Yeah...always thought the extra interceptors was a poor implementation of the grav shields. Maybe if the Abbai interceptors had affected beam weapons that would have been cool, but using current mechanics I do like using space station allocations.

Is it not so, that the Shield is incorporated in the high Hull and high Damage Points and in the Interceptors ?

So all three are there to simulate the Shield ?

That's what they said, but the GeG mechanic is specifically designed to represent a gravitic shield like those used by the Abbai. The high hull/damage/interceptors was a cop-out used before the GeG was devised.

personally i prefer my interceptors and high hull/damage over a GEG

and as for my advanced interceptors being more paperwork, its actually less than using space station interceptors cos at least mine are only split into 2 pools.

The other way of simulating the Abbai 'gravatic shields' could be with the Adaptive Armour trait.

I like the Jucaya idea best as a well designed War level choice. Katadder's and Triggy's ideas seem better than B5freaks. Its seems less of a massive jump in ship design for the Abbai to go from a Battle choice to a War choice than straight up to an Armageddon choice.
