Career Book 1 from Spica Publishing

Thank you, just bought this. At first glance, seems great.

One question: there are new mustering out benefits, without explanations. Are they self explanitory? High passage then means one journey in high passage? How far? Whats a holy relic? up to the GM?

Standard high passage, as per Classic Traveller. We're not allowed to reproduce the rules about High Passages from CT.
Whats a holy relic? up to the GM?
Yup. We've deliberately tried to leave such things open, to ensure that it's a s flexible in sue as possible.

Yep, my setting's colony still has some job slots that are not yet filled:

Civil Engineer (e.g. Terraforming Engineer), Diplomat (the non-Noble
kind), Politician (also the non-Noble kind), Professor / Teacher (with
Instruction skill), Shaman (both for low-tech and high-tech cultures),
to name but a few ...

Bought it but something weird is going on as every attempt to open it freezes Acrobat :-(

Downloading acrobat as I type. Hopefully reinstalling it helps.

Stupid Windows.

Can't use the Instruction skill or any of the other skills from Mercenary or High Guard because they are not OGL (yet). There were several times when using Instruction, Recruiting or even Discipline would make sense, but because of the OGL rules, we couldn't use them.

I have the same problem.

Acrobat Reader freezes whenever I attempt to read the book the
usual way. But when I scroll down the cover page somewhat, Acro-
bat Reader wakes up and accepts the file, and from then on I can
use it normally.

Didn't work for me. However free small pdf reader foxit reader worked fine. Yet another case of alternative small programs being better than bloated "official" ones :D

Hey, this book is an excellent investment, it gets more useful and va-
luable while I sleep !

And the Adobe Reader problem has disappeared. :D

I'm very favourably impressed with this business model. Updating the initial text so quickly and for free bodes well for future SPICA publications. Please keep it up and I will be religiously purhcasing your products...

So, when is Book 2 due? :)

So how long have you been waiting to post that comment?!!

Since we all rag on you about publishing dates, it must be nice to pass on the "love" to someone else!

Thanks for your support of this product Matt!

Beech, the paint job on your avatar makes me think of Huey, Dewey and Louie in Silent Running.
