Can Shadows Ram>?

Forgive my newbness but is it possible for a shadow vessel (of any kind) to ram a enemy? Or perhaps I should just say Ancients and leave it at that?

Cool pic but I would reduce it to avoid being shouted at :)

I don't think they can as not a Special Action listed - coulb be wrong? :)

You're both right, Shadows can't ram because (a) its not in the list of allowed special actions and (b) being crippled is a pre-requisite for ramming.

And yes that avatar is excessively large!!!

Cool avatar.... I'd keep it big and endure the yelling..=p

Yeah, the ancients change should have included opening up the SA's as there is no reason for them not to have access to all of them now. Ramming would have been an issue anyway... not sure how I would resolve that one as we see the one destroyer flying through the destroyed shadow ship... if it had miscalculated it's firepower even a little it would have rammed.

I'm sure there is a similar scene where a Battlecrab flies through a just-exploded Sharlin - judging its width just right so that the spines don't catch on anything :)

I guess there would be a problem with a being who has lived for so long casually throwing their life away to destroy a lesser being...

I don't think the shadow controling the ship would be throwing his life away. Shadow ships were telepathically remote controled. Maybe the concept of ramming would be alien to the shadows, doesn't really fit with the hit and run ethos of the shadow fleet.

They have a living CPU, only a teep to prevent jamming (could be raspberry or strawbery)

A Shadow Scout tried to ram Ivanova's White Star while she was scouting before the battle in sector 83. Seems canon enough evidence to include it in the game... but oh well.
