Do ships get XP dice for destroying independently bought fighters?

I don't believe so... as a single flight is not even a single patrol point... Although I would welcome any corrections to my opinion...

I don't think so either, but I'm unsure in the case of wings that total 1 fighter only (White star fighters?)

Or maybe now that fighters are "ships" the exp rules can be used to get points for individual flights as I guess by the letter of the rules they are "a ship of equal or lower priority level".

From the rule book, page 83:

Fighters may never earn XP Dice, nor is their destruction worth XP Dice.
