Campaign Points

Da Boss

Mongoose
We are presently playing a campaign - all fleets started with 10 BP

fleets: on turn 3

Centauri - mine (now 9BP)
Vorlon (6BP)
Shadows (2BP)
ISA (14+BP)
EA (10BP

my querry is over the reinforcements:

the whole points system seems to be based based around the doubling idea - ie 2 raid = 1 battle, 2 battle =1 War etc.

but the reinforcement points then make no sense?

Would the following not be better?

Patrol 3pts
Skirmish 6pts
Raid 12pts
Battle 20pts
War 30pts
Armgadeon 45pts

with usual modifiers for Vorlons / Shadows etc

I ran a mega campaign that included over 100 systems. However one battle would decide control of a system. We didn't use point system for battles. What was in the system was what fought or ran. You could jump in to reinforce from neighboring systems. During movement phase ships with a move of 8 or more could move three systems. Below 8 could cover 7. Ships 2261 or prior only. Movement was hidden so I ran the campaign. Scouts could reveal forces prior to your movement if they survived. Our group really enjoyed it.
