Calculating Recruitment Cost

Don't know if I've managed to overlook it but I'm wondering how you calculate the Recruitment Cost and Required Rep for Specialists that you design yourself as opposed to those pre-built for you.

If anyone can point me to where I've 'missed' this information it'd be greatly appreciated!
 
Not sure if there's a published formula.. In fact I'm pretty sure there's not.

Because we're reflecting a specific setting, rather than just mechanics, I think there's quite a lot of leeway in costing - I've always thought Citi-Def seemed cheap, but that can be rationalised as being cos they're more likely to fall in with gangs through block loyalty, wish to blow things up, etc.

If you want to post your specialist (without cost and required rep), we could all make suggestions as to cost, etc, in comparison to published material, and you could select what you thought made most sense.

One of the 'areas' that I wanted to look at costing up is for the introduction of vehicles to the setting rather than just treating them as part of the 'scenery'.
 
Ah, yes.

Not easy that.

The only basis for comparison is the Lawmaster, really. And the judges get a pretty sweet deal..
 
I may have to see if there's any cost comparison between GoMCO and JDRPG that may prove useful. There doesn't seem to be any correlation in costs whatsoever.

Failing that vehicles may have to become scenario 'objectives' rather than gang purchases.
 
I think these costs may be based on The Rookies Guide To Criminal Organisations. Not sure mind you but some of the figures seem close.
