Bilini - place of intrigue

Mongoose
I've been planning on doing an Orlanthi (2nd age) campaign where the players start in Bilini. Seem like a good place to start since it's between Doraster and the EWF. I've done many searches, but can find nothing talking about the people, the area, history, or prominant figures. Is Bilini occupied by the EWF? Partially? or Fully? Does anyone have a timeline for EWF activites in peloria durring the 2nd age?

Any help would be great!

Bilini is usually considered part of Talastar -- the fiercest tribe (of the seven) in the Third Age. The Osteri clan held Ironsword for centuries (IIRC they took it from Lakrene). The Hold is their capital.

Since it's part of Talastar, it has been part of the EWF for something like 50 years (by the Mongoose era).

Yes, but a lot of it derives from sources that haven't been published quite yet. I recommend getting Heortling History when it comes out (next week?). Until then, Dorastor: Land of Doom is your best out-of-print source. Fortunate Succession (an unfinished work) has some relevant maps.

Are you talking about "Orlanthi Blood" by Mongoose that comes out in Aug? Or is "Heortling History" published by someone else?

I'm not entirely sure if Heortling History is its title, but it's the unfinished work coming out from Moon Design.

Oh, here we go. Rick Meints on 24 Apr 2007:
I have just gotten back from the printers "History of the Heortling Peoples". This 118 page offering is the latest in the "unfinished works" series, volume IX to be more precise. It will retail for $30 and hit the shelves in a matter of days.
