BFE your thoughts?

Hi all :)
How is BFE doing were you are?
A)Disastor.
B) Poor.
C)Moderate.
D)Successful.
E)Sold Out is so good!

From my reading it appears that cost is putting off my possible customers.
Perhaps an infantry army boxset per faction would help?
The ACTA fleet boxes are always great value for money, i think BEFO needs the same especially for infantry.
How about 5 infantry boxes per army box?
How about Armor platoons boxset? Big Savings!
Offer huge savings ! Make this game the best value for money out there!
What ideas do you have to make this game more marketable? :)

PS: the rules set has gotten a very good response. We just need more value for money! (well thats what people are saying in forums etc).

Well, our area's first game store just opened, so I'm finally getting a chance to demo the product. It'll grow as the store grows, I reckon. I already have got at least one other person hooked, he just hasn't had a chance to purchase yet.

I'd have to say C) Moderate for our area. One buddy of mine has played a few times, but hasn't bought any models yet (we use my PLA and USMC). Two other friends I demo'd for are now buying EFTF and (against my advice) PLA. :)

Eventually I'm hoping to sell my friends my PLA and USMC figs, then investing the money in MEA.

around our area

Disaster, to exspensive for uk market, and with no releases this month people have moved over to AT-43, This month could be the month that killed any chance of gettin the game following up intime for summer holidays.

with originaly 2 waves due this month people were stoked to get all this stuff together, now Nothing, and a huge lul.

im doing a demo next month, but the way releases are lookin its a case of dont bother from the shop, good news is hes droped all the box sets down to £10 to clear them !!!

Around here, BF:E is doing okay. I have about 5 people actively collecting armies (@1000pts each) and chomping at the bit for new releases. We've had a bit of a supply issue, but I've been assured that has been remedied.

I've done two demos last week and have one coming up. So far everyone who's played has liked the game.

Here in upstate NY things died off dramatically. Between the release of new D & D and Star Wars sets, the startup of WarMachine and Flames of War leagues and a Nemesis Warhammer Campaign there hasn't been a BFE game in three weeks at the store. Fortunately we didn't lose anyone to AT-43 as nobody is playing that game in the store.

I had tried to drum up interest in a BFE Tourney but most people wanted to wait until after the July releases. Hopefully, we will see some stuff soon.

I've had several tell me they were even holding out for the SST EVO. Now I'm hearing that is still two months away though originally I thought it was due at the end of this month.

I'm in Toronto, and being in a big city there are plenty of gaming stores to carry/demo the game, and a few groups (let alone individuals) that could have the game played.

I know of five stores that carry the product. I have demoed the game in two, and will be doing so for another in the next few weeks.

I am the only MI around here that I know of, but I know that there are at least a good half-dozen others who own the game, and a bunch more that have played my demos.

It's doing well, but I think the price is the thing that is keeping more people from the game. The genre, as well, is not a big favourite, either. I don't think that the lack of new releases are really a concern.

I am sure that SSTEvo will do MUCH better.

All I can say if SST EVO is released in the same manner as poor BFE, you can kiss it goodbye within a year. Let hope, things get better, but I have BIG doubts. :?

Of the four gaming shops I know of within 30 miles of London (Leisure Games, Caliver Books, Orcs Nest and one near Caliver who's name I forget), only one of them (Leisure Games) carries Bevo, and mostly just for me, I think. Caliver had one of each of the wave 1 boxes but haven't re-ordered, citing poor sales. Orcs Nest has never carried them, but says they can get them for mail order and the other one says that the unit price is too high.

Perhaps 4 boxes of infantry for $80?

not in the uk no.

every body has realised tanks platoons for the win ;)

Just ordered the advanced rulebook from the earstore.net and asked him how it was selling. He said that the response was good. I live in east TN and the hobbytown here has stocked it pretty heavily. I am going to try and run some demos to pique more interest.

not doing so well round here. nick from the goose has brought it down the club a couple of times but havent seen anyone from our area buy any and the only times it gets played is when nick brings it.

A game store finally came to our town. Been working with the owner about me running some demos and see if I can generate some interest. Will see what happens. I need people to play...he needs to sell stuff.

seems to be hittin american market ok, but tottaly missing uk gamers.

???? Where is it going over well in the US market, got examples? I don't see it? I only know of 6 players within 100 miles of me, and another 6 more if I go another 50 further. I wouldn't call that hittin the market OK, would you?

Here in the Riverside/SB aria [CA] I seem to be the only player, out in the OC seems to be a few, but right now that is to far for me to go. I am competing with..

It isn't doing particularly well at my FLGS either, although one store in Denver seems to be selling it OK. I think Mr Evil is refering to the sales figures, though: the US market sold through the initial wave far faster than anyone expected, leading to shortages some places. I'm not sure where it's selling either, but unless there are some Mongoose Scientologists out there who are buying it up just to hype the sales figures, it's going to gamers somewhere...
