Battlestar Deathwalker

A Dilgar Mishakur - Mercy of the Prime ventures into a previously uncharted star system and encounters the Acropolis-class Athena



Athena is docked at an unarmed civilian research station. 4 flights of Vipers on patrol–12" away. Requires a dice roll of 5+ in order to undock and begin to move and fight.

Mercy jumps in, with 2 flights of Thoruns, at 38".


1. Dilgar win init.
Athena rolls 6 and undocks.
Mercy move towards station.
All 4 Vipers fly towards Mercy.
Both sides launch additional fighters.


2. Dilgar win init.
Athena moves forward. Viper use afterburners.
Dilgar continue their advance. Thoruns not in range. Mercy unleashes its heavy pulsars at 2 closest Vipers and blasts them out of space; they recover with Fleet Carrier.
Athena launches more Vipers.


3. Athena wins init.
Dilgar continue to close.
Athena moves into its missile range. (30")
Mercy pulsars 2 more Vipers–no recovery.
Athena missiles the Mercy and damages engines.
2 Thoruns dogfight 2 Vipers and win.


4. Dilgar win init.
Athena closes range.
Mercy accelerates into its missile range (24").
Vipers and Thoruns dogfight–Thoruns win.
Mercy hammers the Athena with missiles. Targeting System and Hull Breach
Athena launches Vipers.


5. Dilgar win init.
Athena continues to close.
Mercy closes.
1 Thorun lost to dogfighting. 2 Vipers lost.
Athena missiles the Mercy and opens fire with its various batteries–minor damage at best.
Mercy opens with fire with its bolters and pulsars. Masters of Destruction trait is really nasty as the Athena loses half its hull structure and suffers engine damage, leaving it adrift.


6. Dilgar retain init.
Athena continues to close, turns to present its port broadside.
Mercy closes.
Last of Vipers destroyed. 2 Thoruns lost to Athena's guns.
Athena opens fire with its various batteries and knocks out a quarter of the Mercy's hull.
Mercy opens with fire with its missiles, bolters and pulsars. Masters of Destruction trait is really nasty as the Athena loses half its hull structure and suffers engine damage, leaving it adrift.


7. Dilgar retain init
Athena drifts forward.
Mercy circles towards its stern.
Last Thorun destroyed.
Athena fires after-bearing guns–minor hull damage.
Mercy fires bolters and pulsars and blows Athena into cripple state.


8. Dilgar retain init.
Athena offers its surrender.
Dilgar blow the ship apart with bolters, then hails the civilians...
 
AMBUSH scenario

Mercy of the Prime is jumped by an Acheron-class Basestar


1. Acheron jumps in astern of Mercy. Mercy turns. Thoruns charge the Basestar
Acheron hammers Mercy with missiles and scores 2 Hull Breaches.
Both launch fighters.


2. Cylons have init.
Mercy continues to try and turn.
Cylons move to remain aft of Mercy.
Thorun vs Raider dogfight...Thorun wins.
Raiders vs Thorun...Raider wins.
Thorun vs heavy Raider dogfight and wins.
Mercy suffers missile hits.


3. Cylons have init
Mercy uses All Stop.
2 Thoruns gang up on weakened Raiders
Thorun attacks Raiders
Cylon hammer Mercy with missiles. Heavy hull damage.
All Thourns wiped out.


3. Cylons have init
Mercy Pivots.
Cylons pull back, but can't clear Mercy's missile range. Raiders close into their missile range.
Mercy pulsars and bolters take down 1 Raider Wave. Mercy's missiles hit the Acheron, inflicting minor hull damage and targeting system loss.
Cylons only score 1 missile hit–from 18 dice.


4. Cylons retain init
Mercy charges...Acheron pulls back.
Heavy Raiders assume base contact. Vipers hold missile range.
Mercy anti-fighters 1 Heavy Raider. All other firepower misses.
Missile fire overwhelms mercy and ship explodes.
