Battlefield: Evolution, The Feral War

Nekomata

Mongoose
Here's a preview of the Feral Army. Ferals were created through cloning and genetic engineering processes that came into being during the Cold War. Ferals gained their name from their body features and because they have animalistic tendencies. The Feral Army is small, their total population is slightly more then 25million, but is highly efficient and the most technologically advanced fighting force in the world. The Feral War "officially" starts in the first months of 2022.
Note: All equipment names aren't final, with the exception of the "Rod-Shot", and forgive the crappy artwork, I'm a writer, not an artist.

Who is going to be the enemy?

The people who are terrified of Furries?

On the flip side, there is a comic Called "Elephant Man" By Vertigo (?) that treats the idea of genemodded animals very well. And what happens when they don't have to be soldiers anymore.

Most of the war is fought between the Ferals and US. I don't consider myself one, but I like furries, they are very soft and cuddley and fluffy. And for reference, very few Ferals would be considered furries, most are like the girl in the picture. Doesn't stop people from fearing/hating them though, which is how the war starts, which is probably obvious.

Instead of barb wire, we would use bits of string so when they attack, they would stop and play.!!
Right infront of the Heavy machine guns....

"i like it more and more " :-)

It's had a few publishers, but never Vertigo. I think it's NBM that have it now. Lovely art, very much in the style of SF Bandes Dessines.

Nice unit, although maybe a touch cheap as they have 9 figures and each one ignores 1 failed armour save, (is this done on individual models, or is it just done by accumulation in the same way as 40k deals with multi wound units - 2 failed armour saves kills 1 model). I really like the OCIW and its specail ready rule :), makes sense to me that a carefully aimed grenade is better than one just fired off the bat.

One thing that does occur to me.... this force might fit better into SST:Evo rather than BF:Evo... A colony on the edge of Earth space has been cut off by an alien advance so has developed its own military force to defend itself.... After the alien invasion was repulsed the colony decided it it wanted to remain free.....

Yeah, I was considering making them more expensive, especially since I have light infantry as well, which are basically identical to a marine squad, but with the rod-shot and OICW. The OICW is actually the 3rd version of the rules, the last change was made after I posted about my javelin missiles. The ready action represents lining up and setting the fire control system.
The Feral units are based on a novel my friend and I are writing(slowly), and believe it or not I've been building their world for years. I've really had this card finished for a week or so, but I was kinda afraid to post it since the novels are kind of a pet project and I wasn't sure how people would take to them.

I actually do have equipment designs for a SST tech setting. The Valkyries I created after reading the SST novel and are heavy shock troopers fitted to drop onto a planet and clear out the defenses so the conventional marines can come down.
The pic is from a freaky magic furry web comic I read called El Goonish Shive. http://elgoonishshive.com/
