Basic passage again.

Basic Passage: Staterooms will be shared (typically four people to a stateroom in bunks) or, on some less scrupulous ships, areas in the cargo bay or engineering will be set aside for very basic accommodation and services (which may only extend to two meals a day and meagre washroom facilities). This requires 2 tons of spare room on the spacecraft, a resilient personality
on the part of the passenger, and comes with a 10kg baggage allowance.

Barracks Ships designed to carry large numbers of troops tend to use barracks instead of staterooms. A barracks may only be used to carry marines or basic passengers (few willingly pay for passage in such cramped conditions).

Barracks consume 2 tons per passenger, and cost Cr50000 per ton.

The two statements above refer to basic passage. Two tons per person in both cases but the comment on the first line four people to a stateroom suggests 1 ton per person.

Which is which. How many Dtons are required per basic passenger?

Also what about life support equipment tonnage and cost? IIRC stateroom tonnage includes such machinery and not just the stateroom itself.

No answer on this one, its a bit of a big difference and given that basic passage is now in the rules it's a HUGE difference in carrying passengers if it is actually four per stateroom.

Powers that be, hello, anyone out there ? ? ?
