Balance between patrol/investigation

Hi,
Me again asking for more help.
Some issues I'm having which more experienced Dredders may have already thought about:

1)When there is an investigation going on, do you think the judges would be expected to dedicate their whole time to it, or would they also be expected to go on patrol too?
I want to intersperse some one shots into Bad Moon Rising but am having to force the issue, judges want to investigate until they drop all 23 hrs 50 minutes they are not in the sleep machine.

2) Do your judges take their lawmasters into blocks? I couldn't see why not, after all they are judges and there are block buggys etc in the corridors, which I imagine are more like streets???
My judges bike cannons just made an scenario much easier than I suspect it was intended to be.

I've not run the new MGT Judge Dredd game, but in the old Games Workshop one I based almost all 'judgement calls' (pun intended) on the comics. So, yes, Lawmasters get to enter cityblocks - some parts are no problem because they are designed for vehicular access, other parts may be reserved for emergency vehicles (including Lawmasters if it's an emergency), and others ... well, it's the bike cannon again.

Street Judges rarely (if ever) seem to be assigned solely to an investigation. Most of the time, when working on a case, they still go out on patrol. Breaking a few juves' heads always helps clear the mind.

I would expect them to perform other duties as well, they could be waiting on results of for some testing, waiting on Tek Division to investigate that item they found, or Psi Division to send someone out, etc.

Go ahead, have someone higher up in the sector house assign them other duties.
