Try posting on the relevant Player finder thread as well, just copy the previous post and attach yourselves in the right spot; I think I was last to post on it.

I too am in the Manchester area (Didsbury) and would love to start playing again, haven't played a game since I moved here to study, but have recently brought some of my fleets (EA, Centauri, Brakiri and ISA) over so I can finish them and hopefully do some battling.

Unfortunately that's a little beyond my travel range, I'm limited to public transport and according to Google maps that's more than 2hours journey time one way; by bus and train (so not cheap either).

Does anyone know of any gaming clubs in the are that play, and aren't Uni' specific ones?

re gaming club, i'm trying to set one up, but it's in bolton, further away than daves! (primarily because i can get a cheap room in Bolton)

Tram line isn't finished yet, but they are working on one.

Let me know how the Bolton thing goes, sometimes a couple of guys I know head over there; but only really during term time as they're on placement up that way.
