Hi, If you use a full auto-fire attack, is the base damage (before margin) for each hit equal to the base damage of the weapon, or is it equal to the base damage of a small burst? In other words does a Gauss shotgun firing a 9 round full auto attack do 3 attacks for the 3d+5 base damage of the weapon, or 3 attacks for the 3d+8 damage that a 3 round burst does?

The Burst is the only attack that states that you add the auto score to the damage. The extra rounds add the damage, similar to double or triple turrets in space combat or double mounts on vehicles.
The Full Auto describes making three single type attacks. The extra rounds are wasted between targets, or bringing the firearm back on target.
