Augmentation biotech

Remember how Supplement 8: Cybernetics had rules for creating biotech versions of augmentations? I think we need that here. It's more convincing for science fiction and also lets you create a trans-species character.

I was really pushing for clearly defined bio ware but I see the direction Matt has taken this.

Almost any augmentation can be made as bio ware - it is simply the application of invisitech, rugged, etc - so an augmentation that is immune to emp, looks perfectly like a natural organ/whatever - is pretty much biotech

Are you saying we need a clear biotech modification or more augmentation offerings in general?

I just meant clear biotech adaptation rules.

The problem is some augments are already clearly biotech, as their text descriptions states "this augmentation is not affected by attacks such as electromagnetic pulses". I think there are 4-5 of them.

I think a small text box on biotech would help. Something along the lines of "Biotech is simply the application of Natural Looking, Ruggedised and Invisitech to any augmentation at a +300% increase. The augment is indistinguishable from any normal organ - apart from it's obvious intended use. Example - Biotech claws, tail or second heart are obviously unnatural augments on a human. What is available as "biotech" is ultimately up to the Referee"

Or some such :)
