On April 6th, Apocalypse Mega-City One comes to our Swindon HQ!

Apocalypse Mega-City One is the first official tournament for the Judge Dredd miniatures game. We invite you all to come down with your favourite Judge Dredd force (which can include mercenaries, giving you a huge range of options!) and play through a series of games to find out who is best!

There will be many prizes available, some sneak peeks at new models and games in progress, and a wide variety of scenarios that will take you from the streets of Mega-City One to the Cursed Earth and beyond!

Tickets are just £10 each, and every entrant will receive a free miniature on the day!

If you are just purchasing the ticket on its own, to avoid shipping charges, simply use the voucher code DREDD (remember to 'Apply Coupon' before clicking on to the next screen!).

Can spectators turn up for this?

Im in the unfortunate position of never having played the game (No one I know is intrested in playing ). Entering the tournament with no experience isnt going to get me far, so spectating is my next best option, and would be a fun day out! (besides, I promised I would pop into Weird Emporium, which is in Swindon too. I could kill 2 birds with one stone!)

also an opportunity to buy some goodies!

Let me know!

Actually, I would not be too surprised to see a number of people turning up for whom their first game in the tournament really will be their first game!

You would be welcome to come down and spectate, but I would urge you to take part - always more fun than just watching!

I thought that coming over for the tourney would be my first games, but I've just managed to arrange a weekend of gaming including JD with my original school gaming mates for my 40th :) My mrs is happy in the knowledge that my mid-life crises involve pushing toys around with my mates rather than going to clubs frequented by ladies of negotiable virtue.

Lol! Fair enough!

Regarding building a force, the tournament guide states we have to have our own miniatures, but can we use miniatures to represent different characters?

EG: can i use the Anderson miniature to represent a standard Psi Judge in my force, or do i have to specifically use the Psi Judge model?

Now that there's a picture on the main page advertising this event ...

You do know you spell "apocalypse" with two "a"s and one "o", don't you? :)

Anyway, ticket bought, train and hotel booked. Now to decide which faction to use ...

Interesting fact on this tournament - over 70% of all particpants have names beginning with 'A.'

Also, there will be a bona fide Judge watching proceedings and making sure no perps step out of line...

Quick request for clarification:

Miniatures to represent your force – these must be painted miniatures, though up to 25% may come from ranges other than Mongoose Publishing’s own Judge Dredd line

How does that round? :D If I were, for example, to field 2 or 3 Judges of which one is a non-Mongoose figure, is that ok?

I don't think we would penalise you for that :)

Am I the only one having trouble actually getting close to 500 credits? :)Perhaps it's because I'm trying various Judge forces (MC-1, Brit-Cit or Sov-Cit), but I get to about 430-450 and then can't afford anything more.
