anyone interested in making paper models for SST?

Shinkansen

Mongoose
Recently I started playing / collecting starship troopers miniatures.
There are a lot of miniatures available, but unfortunatly no vehicles or drop ships. So I wonder if anyone is interested in making some paper models to fill the gap.

There are paper models available via
http://www.toposolitario.com/workshop/index.html
for Infinity
http://aliens.humlak.cz/
for Aliens the movie
http://www.ebblesminiatures.com/shop/index.php
for a general sci-fi game with bugs

But none of these are really SST-Models, so here comes the idea:

If it is possible to model more or less accurate (they must be simplified) 3d-models of buildings, structures, vehicles and aircrafts these 3d-files can be unfolded as a paper model with a special program
http://www.tamasoft.co.jp/pepakura-en/
called tenkai.

Final and most tricky part is that the paper models must be colorised with textures.

If anyone is interested in either modelling or making textures, please let me know.

I have been wanting to get into this for a while, but have gotten side tracked with other more pressing projects. I was using Blender for the 3D modeling and pepakura for the unfolding.

Here is where I stopped with my BFE WZ 551:(no textures and you have to supply your own cannon barrel)

Here is a capture of my work in blender. I am a complete noob with blender, so I don't even know how to render just the model :P

For my first work, I am kind of proud of it. The pepakura work has been distilled to get a low piece count as well as an easier construction. The pieces don't make much sense outside of my head as there is no instructions or texturing done to figure out where they go.

This is looking good so far. If you need textures for BFE paper vehicles you may can make use of the 3d models from games like Operation Flashpont. You needn`t the game, all tools are standalone.

Here is a first try of a skyhook landing ship with landing plattform.
