Anyone else got dodgy bindings on their ACTA2e books?

Hey solved the problem!

Cancelled my order, bought the pdf downloads and printed them myself. Shove them in a ring binder and hey presto no binding problems ever again!!!

Am I a clever captain or what :)

My copy arrived today. The fleet book is just fine but the rule book is the worst bit of printing I have ever seen. The pages are crunched up and it's hard to actually open.

Every single copy i saw at Colours (which was at least a dozen on 3 different traders stands) was exactly like that

I was very disappointed in the books. I started losing pages from the main rulebook within and hour of opening it. This is the worst expirience with a book falling apart I've had in 25 years of gaming.

I may be in the minority here. I got my copy yesterday, both the fleet list and the rules. The fleet list is bound a bit to "tight" on some pages making it difficult to open, and the rulebook is "wrinklebound", but I am having no problems as of yet. maybe it will fall apart, I hope not, but if it does, then I will have to come up with a solution to the problem. I can still make out everything and I think, for one of the first products to come out inhouse, it seems pretty good. Of course if it is not one of the first inhouse jobs, then, there may be problems, but it sounds as if they are bending over backwards to address it.

Anyway, I am excited just to have 2E. Time to blow stuff up.

I just received both books yesterday and got around to perusing the rules book today. I was pretty freaked when I opened the book and it creaked like an old saloon door. And then when I saw that puckered page effect... eww... the stuff of gamer's bad dreams. Naturally I came here to see if the issue is bigger than just my situation and then I find this thread. Thanks for posting this... at least I know I'm not alone. And kudos to MGP for their customer service... I'll be in contact.

My fleet-book is fine(despite heavy use by three people), but someone else read my rulebook for ten minutes and 12 pages came out, but MGP were happy to replace.
Fortunatly, because of the forums, I already knew about the problem.
