Any ideas for Skinnie Marauders?

Mage

Mongoose
Well, I have renwewed interest in painting my skinnie army, and am wondering what would make a good maruader for my army.

I have several issues with doing this. I want a model of good quality, that fits with the range, resembles the art, and can fit different weapons I may decide to put on it.

Mr. Evils ones were cool, and wizkids clik figures seem like the way to go. I wonder if any battletech minis would look good. I am very heistant to use GW models however.

Has anyone tried converting one from just starship troopers bits, like parts from the mobile infantry and speeder bikes say?

Steam Tinker from Mage knight (Its even a super cheap common)

If I was playing skinnies I'd use these, they'd need a lil bit of work, and some weapon swaps, but I always pictured the skinnies as a retro sci-fi race so the victorian/steam punk styling could possibly be a benefit, and I really like the way that the pilots legs are inside the vehicle, kinda like the wrong trousers or something lol.
Actually tbh I just think that its a cool model and I've been wracking my brain for any reason/justification to get some, so Im biased :D

Sadly though, closest I've ever seen to the artwork are the old eldar war walker, since they were 100% identical in all but the most superficial of ways (Infact if you replace the word 'harmonic' for 'force' they're the same fluff wise too...), very cheap right now, just utterly uncool...

I was thinking that the clone scout walkers from star wars would be good if you could get them fairly cheap, but I cant even find them, let alone at a decent price...

Evils Mechwarrior tactic might be the best, at least you have alot of choice as to what they look like.

I would suggest stealing bits from some GW models, Old and new Wraithlords, Epic Eldar Titans, War walkers, and then use a Skinnie model as crew and maybe for some of the weapons.

The new epic eldar walker would make a nice base. :)
Add parts from here and there, including plasticard.

ARGH!!! Looks intresting but the photo really doesn't show much of anything about the model, except for its painted white has huge guns and is larger than the other models (of which they have lovely pics). Any chance you can put some pics up of your model to show people :)

I JUST purchased it, so it has to be built and painted (and I'm seriously involved in my WW2 project at the moment).

Go to the web page and click on the blownup picture (cannot capture the URL from a popup window). That should give you more details.

The fate of so many game companies. Christ you'd think they'd get a business degree before they try setting something like that up.

You don't even need that. Its mostly common sense.

You need some idea of profit over expenditure, as most businesses over extend themselves at some point.

But when you are still small (I.E. during the first few years), you can't risk doing so - as you don't have a 'reservoir' of cash to fall back on.

I just saw this at Meijer's marked down and thought, although it's a bit big, it would make an excellent Skinnie Maruader suit.

Then I thought about the size, and thought, well they are skinnies and they are pretty tall, so why not their heavy PA suits.
