any chance of a peek at the interior art?

now the books are out and about, any chance of seeing a page or two of the new art. i'm intrigued!

Even if not, can anyone with the book and a mind tell us their thoughts on the new art?

I think that the new interior art is superb and I'm actually happy to have a new interpretation of the artwork. All of the old illustrations have been redone and there are a few new ones as well. The medium seems to be ink pen and they fit very well into the lone wolf universe.

My favourate pic is the cloaked figure with the raven.

Coincidentally I took a photo of the same page (to show my friends on other forums, as part of a mini-review).

cheers for that - I'm liking the font too!

I think I saw that art prior to the book coming out though I wasnt 100% it was for the book. still not sure what to make of it. It has some nice touches and some bits that seem a bit shonky. shouldn't that bow have a string? :)

Presumably he's released the arrow and the string has spoinged out of view somewhere

still undecided on it, but certainly looking forward to seeing more!

Oh cool, I didn't realise they'd used the original font. It's pleasantly retro.

Does anyone know what font that is? I'd love to use it for some of my own stuff.

How you managed to take the book opened with only one hand
My book tried to eat mine.

However the font used really fit.
The map of sommerlung a little dark however.

Some comments on the illustrations:
- the map of Sommerlund is a bit dark and the names in it are hard to read.
- about the interior art, the only thing I could say is that I really miss Gary Chalk. This relaunch, as a great event it is for the fans, would deserve his drawings.
Personally, I think some of the illustrations are not well connected to the LW world while others are totally lack of detail. Ok, some of them are good but I still prefer the drawings of my old copy of FftD.

The interior art keeps reminding me of the The Bloodtheud of Altheus gamebook series (and a little bit of the Way of the Tiger gamebooks too but not as much).
