Ancient & Damage

I hope this is being changed in 2nd ed. It just seems so stupid that the Vorlons and Shadows should be immune to critical hits and take D6 damager per hit when more advanced races can take critical damage and suffer damage the same as puny Younger Races...

Well you'll be happy then :)

Shadows and Vorlons will follow the Ancients rules....

yup, scary aint it :)
Since the stats for virtually all ships will change, no not that scary until you see the big picture!

Will change? I just got Arma so I'm still getting up to speed on those rules. I'll worry about 3e when it comes out.

you people and your playtesting teasing.

Well, a vorlon ship with AA and self repair, that should be cool. Even a Shadow ship with a hull 6 and just self repair will be nasty, any damage you do will get repaired if hits just do 1 damage(or 2 or 3).

Hooray, I long for the day when weak particle cannons can no longer do 6 points of damage per hit....

Of course I imagine that Vorlon damage tracks wont be as long as they used to be (since now they'll have 'real' damage). But still - the old system allowed tiny ships and puny weapons to do massive damage to Vorlons/Shadows.

they also popped very easily when the vorlons and shadows shot them however.
When I played reaverman, he took out a skirmish ship per shot!
