All of JTAS, in 3 HC books, for $30 in the US, $70 over seas

They're not HC as in hardcover; "hardcopy" simply means "print", not e-books/PDFs. These are the so-called "BFBs", "Big Floppy Books" (as contrasted with the LBBs "Little Black Books").

They are, nevertheless, worth the money if you didn't purchase them the last time around (as I did).

Ah, darn! I thought it meant HC. Still, this is my first time getting these compilations, in print, so still going to be a happy Traveller!

Have they held up well for you?

Not applicable; I got them mostly for collection completeness, and I use the JTAS CD for reference.

K, yeah I have the CD, but hate reading digital documents, so am really looking forward to reading through these print versions.

The books would be a very good value to own, I count myself as lucky as I have the actual originals myself. They are great to use as a reference and bring back grat memories.

What's in these things? Would they be useful to an MGT Referee?

Its a collection of old Traveller magazines called Journal of the Travellers Aid Society (JTAS), and yes, I can't imagine any Traveller fan not finding tons of usable ideas/concepts/etc... in these.

Yeah, I only have 6 of the originals myself, but do have the rest on the CD FFE offers, so this will be my first time being able to read all of them in print.

It was a great magazine, to bad it went under. I greatly looked forward to each and every one. I placed them in Magazine protectors for storage, and look at them from time to time. Maybe it might be well worth buying these books for the Reference value, I hate trying to read this kinda of stuff from a PC screen.

Is Canada in the US or overseas?
I don't believe the U.S. has annexed Canada ;)

Seriously, since FFE is based in IL (Bloomington, IIRC) the extra shipping surcharge probably applies (i.e. any shipping outside U.S.) - though, > $30 extra is darn steep!

Just popped over to the site - maybe you could try the email at the bottom (farfuture) to get a good answer (or maybe a better deal). A cousin in Canada typically mail orders U.S. stuff to relatives in Michigan - since it is cheaper and faster (even with his drive, bridge tolls and duty).

I jumped on this deal faster than you can say "Third Imperium"! :D

Shame that it wasn't mentioned over on CotI. :?

Sorry, where???

Grandfather must be at it again. :)
