Hi there, I've looked at the preview available on DriveThru, but can you clarify a few things -

Is this for specifically? Or a generic d100 system.

Is this going to be the first in a series of Adventure Journals?

What are the time scales for following releases?

Do you have a list of what's to come next?

Anything else you want to tell us about these?

I'm basically trying to get as much information as possible so I can enter this into the RPG Geek database accurately.

Thanks! :D

It's designed for use with Legend, but I know some of my customers that have used previous products with RQ6 with no problems.

Yes it will be the first in a series of releases under the Adventure Journal title.

I'm hoping for at least one a month to every two months. Hard to say, depends on what the sales and finances are like with each month.

There is no set list of what is coming in the future, but in the immediate future I am planning on doing an Adventure Journal for something called the "Holy Fount". Unfortunately that is the only future product right now, but ideas come at me pretty quick so there will be more, don't worry. ;)

These are just designed as low cost supplements that can be thrown into any Legend (or d100 game) campaign.

Well as it was only 66 pence I bought the rpg item and will make sure it is on the Geek asap :)

I have not read it yet but shall do as part of the process!

Good luck with your current and future sales, and be sure to let us know when the next ones come out :)

It's good to see a series of low-cost supplements.

For a dollar, this is fine, but there are only 4 pages of content, including an illustration.

Personally, I'd prefer to see a higher page count, perhaps costing a bit more, with more meat, maybe with sample Background and Professions.

Having now read the item (I'm struggling with whether to call it a book, pamphlet, leaflet or other) I can say that it is short and sweet. The information that is there is well written for the most part. There are some issues with sentence structures and there is the occasional wrong use of word variations, but nothing major.

I have three main problems with the content as it is:

1. You mention in your text that the stone orcs have "A large lower jaw has tusks that protrude out from their mouth ..." and yet the drawing (lovely though it is) does not have these.

2. The sentences "... have made a special type of orc metal that is strong and causes more damage on hits. These weapons and armour are feared since they are stronger and tougher ...however can break more easily making them useless to some militaries." which completely contradicts itself. It is not until you read the section on Orc Metalstew that you realise that what you actually mean is that "the metal can on occasion become brittle and therefore prone to shattering." (feel free to use my wording in the text!!) For those who have not read this item this boils down to a Critical Fumble whereby on a roll of 1 damage is done to the weapon itself, bypassing AP and potentially damaging the weapon. You also don't mention if that damage stacks, though I imagine it would do.

3. I checked your Orc stat averages using rumkin.com and am glad to see that all your Str/Con/Siz/Int/Pow/Dex/Cha averages are correct. However your information regarding the Orc War Axe and Orc Great Axe is backwards. 1d10 (war axe) is far less powerful than 2d8 (great axe). With 2d8 your Minimum roll is always going to be 2 and your maximum 16, an average of 9. While with 1d10 your min/max is 1 and 10, average of anywhere between 1 and 10. Simply not as powerful.

So I think I might agree with Soltakss,I would rather get more pages - between 6 and 8 maybe - in order to gain more information. The 1$ price is great but some backgrounds, professions, racial magical spells and family life details would be good.

I'd also recommend sub-headings within that massive block of text on the first main page, it's a bit daunting as it currently is.

Having said all of that I think this is a very worthy effort, but one which can probably be enhanced with very little effort! Well done sir, roll on any changes you make and also the next edition :D

(I've already submitted this to RPGGeek btw)

I made some of the changes. Most notably, saying that the Orc War Axe is a single handed weapon while the Orc Great Axe is a two handed weapon, hence the greater damage on the great axe.

I also changed the "natural 1" part under the Metalstew description to "critical fumble" and noted that in the race description as well.

Hope this helps!

Well that is certainly better, though the other points still stand, but at least the metal description reads better now :)

Just as an FYI (it's not of major importance) my saying "Critical Fumble" is actually saying the same thing twice lol. "Critical Fumble" is exactly the same as saying "Fumble", I just like to make it clear and extremely obvious to people that it's a Baaaad thing to happen by adding critical to it :D

Funny how there's no one-word thing for a "Critical Success" though....most odd :}

Oh, btw, DriveThru shows the update as having two files now - both identical. And you changed the name of the thing which I don't recommend doing as people will end up with two files in their folders that are basically the same but with different names!

Otherwise, well done :)

That's strange, I'll see if I can fix that.

It's fixed now. For some reason, the file uploaded twice though I only reuploaded it once. Not sure what was going on there.

I've emailed DTRPG to fix the issue. My account says there's only one file there so why it's giving two I don't know. Hopefully they'll fix it soon.
