We don't wants them precious!

Nothing wrong with bringing more gamers into the fold.
But I do recall Little Wars '02, playing Battleground WWII with my dad and a bunch of other folks I didn't know (save one who didn't know I had part of an investigation team looking at him regarding his inability to appropriately relate to members of the fairer sex).

At one point in the game I started looking around the table and tried to count the wedding bands.

I counted one. On my dad. Out of 8 or nine players.

A sad strange lonely group we be...

lol well we did the same, at pub out of all the people their the only 2 who were single out of a largish group of about 14 all the others who were not single had girlfriends living with them or moving in.

i think my game group is pretty cool, tonys GF send him over with a packed lunch, makes me smile every time, some times she makes me some sandwiches as well !!! and were in our 30's !!!!

I am even luckier! My wife is half Maltese and doesn't just do sandwiches...

Pasta (from scratch), Lasangne, a BBQ, tea, coffee etc...

How lucky am I. She puts up with me & my gaming and cooks up a storm

yeah, I heard something about a prone position that will give some sort of bonus to hit. But it will have to be a ready action. anyone care to elaborate?
I've heard that if you spend a Ready action for the SAWs and such, the rest of your squad gets a single round bonus of a reroll on any misses on a shoot action to represent their time aiming.

Also you can get the following benefit in Preview 2 from the advanced rulebook here:

Covered Advance
A typical playing surface for any miniatures game is
fl at with various terrain pieces placed upon it. In the
real world, however, very few battlefi elds are like this.
The ground tends to be uneven, fi lled with patches of
vegetation or rock, all of which can be used to gain a
little protection from enemy fi re.
To represent this, any unit of Size 1 models may make a
Covered Advance by performing a Ready action before
a Move action. If attacked by an enemy, they will count
as being in an obscured Line of Sight, even if they would
normally be in a clear Line of Sight.
This only applies to enemy shooting attacks made in
the enemy’s turn. Models do not receive the benefi t of
obscured Line of Sight if the enemy is shooting at them
because of a Reaction, as they are able to catch the unit
as it moves from concealment.
