Advanced Education Tables

Most of the Advanced Education tables within the various careers require EDU 8+ to roll on them. BUT, some now say EDU 10+ which is new.

I prefer that you stick with the old, original EDU 8+ for all Advanced Education Tables.

The only exception that I would make would be for the Scholar. Since most Scholars will have a good EDU score, making that specific table EDU 10+ makes sense.

It does not make sense that Citizen or Entertainer need to have that higher EDU value to roll on those tables.

Also Drifter doesn't have an Advanced Education Table. I think I like that...

That was my concerns as well. I think it makes sense in the Scholar career, after all most Scholars are going to have a pretty high EDU anyway and my experience with MGT1 was that all Scholars got to roll on that table (which means it is worthless as a "benefit" of higher EDU).

I don't think it should be there for the other careers though.. Citizens and Entertainers should not have a higher threshold than Drifter or any of the Military careers.

I noticed the difference too, but I justified it by saying that for the careers that require 10+, "a little extra" education (8+) doesn't really make much of a difference - you need to be very highly educated to open up the advanced education possibilities.

But honestly, I'd be fine if it was 8+ across the board too.

Let's see, Citizen, Entertainer, Rogue and Scholar need Edu 10 for Advance Education skills. Agent, Army, Marine, Merchant, Navy, Noble and Scout do not while Drifter have no access to Advance Education. Not sure the reasoning for Scholars but the others with lower Edu thresholds seem to benefit from services that provide better access to education and training compared to the sentient on the street. Possibly Scholars still don't have the focused, specialized training that a government sponsored organization can afford. Scholars are still considered a type of citizen.
