No i didnt really mean to make it seem like GW does make bad models, actually most are rathrr good. And all of em are pretty well detailed. Soemtimes too much. (yes my bad for makeing that not clear on my first post)
But GW has a strict of rule of good selling stuff gets uberstats, and new stuff like (Tau) get shiny stuff so all the kids want to buy it, cause they might be heavily abused.
If it doesnt sell, it doesnt get pushed....and gets taken off the board.
Look at Spaces and Eldar. They might look acceptable and rather good, but as extra incentive, so people keep buying new stuff, they get the silver platter and are far easier to powergame than other races. (Ever seen Dark Eldar rule the board due to superior troops (quality or numbers)?).
As such, yer they have good models, but they have a stupid marketing technique.
And thats why MGP is better, they dont try to push stuff by giving it uber numbers. (not like they needed to sell huge numbers of sags AFAIK)
