Additional ship stats

Traditionally, I've not had much interest in fantasy ships - ships that were never completed, or in some cases, never even started. My only real exception to that rule was the aircraft carrier Graf Zeppelin.

Recently, however, I've changed my mind on this matter - mainly because campaign games almost invariably get into territory that history never covered.

So, that being said, I would like to know if anyone has Victory at Sea stats for some of these World War 2 ships.

United States:
Lexington (as a battlecruiser)
Montana (battleship)

Japan:
Tosa (battleship)
Amagi (as a battlecruiser)

USS Montana BB-67
Priority: Battle

Turning: 1
Target: 4+
Armor: 6+
Damage: 60/30
Crew: 86/28

Length: 925
Displacement, 60,500 tns
Speed: 28kts

Weapon
A Turret 3 x 16", Range 43", AD 3, DD 3, Super AP
B Turret 3 x 16", Range 43", AD 3, DD 3, Super AP
X Turret 3 x 16", Range 43", AD 3, DD 3, Super AP
Y Turret 3 x 16", Range 43", AD 3, DD 3, Super AP
Sec Armament, Range 5", AD 5, DD 1, Weak, DP
AA , Range 8, AD 6, DD -, (per Conway's I'm sure they would have had more AA than this)

Thank you! One question though:

Not war?

I've been thinking about the Tosa and Amagi. My gut instinct is that they should be at Battle priority, (that is to say, they are not the equal of Yamato) but 10 x 16-inch guns out-classes the battle-level Nagato.

I never use the rules for comparing ships. I either use historical Scenarios or can balance play by knowledge of the ships which works out the same as the rule for comparing ship points so to speak.
15" ,16", 18' guns all seem to fit the same class for comparison.

Its worth searching through the archive for details of the Montana. It was discussed here some months ago, and (IIRC) the stats generated for OOB were posted

Yeah, I don't use the priority levels either. I also tend to generate historical scenarios, or alterations on scenarios. Play balancing can be factored into the victory conditions of the actual scenario.

Frankly the rating scheme for the units is one of the most confusing parts of the rukes for me. Why not just give them all a simple point value for easy comparison.

It has all been historical or pregenerated scenarios for me thus far.
