I have sympathy for most that have been unfortunate enough to have not received their order – I am lucky as I have most of my order and I know the rest will come.
If it comes quickly – it’s a bonus.
If it’s a few weeks later or a few months - I am not really going to get worked up about it. – This is a game and a hobby.
The thing is I know I will receive my order and I have some perspective about this matter.
I am already planning my next order with mongoose for ACTA:SFU and that includes pre-ordering Squadron Box No 7 when it becomes available for pre-order.
I think the anger that I, and many others, are currently feeling is feeling like Mongoose continuously holds that carrot out in front of us saying, "just a little longer, just a little longer". If you look through Matt's previous posts, especially early on, they give no hint that we are looking at the end of January before we receive our fleet boxes. It took the uproar on the forum before we started to get more information out of him. There would be considerably less anger if Mongoose had been more upfront and honest about the production delays, rather then giving us the same old line.
The other issue is that Mongoose is willing to charge us right away but never let us know the status of what we ordered. Going on several weeks of "processing", but that's it. I wait an indefinite period of time for my miniatures, but Mongoose, sure enough, already has their money.
It's frustrating when the person who seems to work the hardest to keep us in the loop is someone who doesn't even work for Mongoose. And for your efforts, I thank you Jean.
In the end, I'd be okay with all of this if Mongoose would have put greater effort into maintaining better communication with us.
Plus I think the whole extended Christmas Holiday pissed us off. We find out that Mongoose was pushing to have a pre-Christmas ACTA release, have it turn into a small cluster inventory wise, and then take their Christmas holiday. Strikes me that if you are going to push the product out the door quicker then you were ready for, you may have to juggle a little but.
