[ACTA:SF]: Freighter damage points

At present the damage points for freighters are at odds with their survivability in the parent game (plus the tractor beam issue that Ben2 brought up earlier in the thread, although I still think a freighter would take enough criticals to render it useless before it managed to get close enough to drag a warship off the table. Still....).

Since those issues have been flagged in the errata report (didn't want to comment on it further there) this is likely redundant, but I'd been looking into house ruling the stats so I thought I might as well post the results anyway to see if you bunch think those values are about right by comparison to SFU ships.

Pretty simple "fix", just used 10% of the cargo boxes on the FC ship cards for their contribution to the hull score before doubling.

Small Freighter: 14/5 (towable by an Orion CR)
Large Freighter: 26/9 (towable by an Orion SAL)
Ore Carrier: 36/12 (just blow it up :))
Mobile Base: 48/16 (maybe boost it by 25% ?)

And deny myself a civilian transport fleet of tractor beamingness? JK

On a more serious note though...I don't think that having more damage points means freighter x can't be towed by ship y...just that when one makes a check to see if ship y can tow freighter x while the crew is still on board and able to through either maneuvering or whatever else. So if the crew isn't on board, your sneaky little pirates shouldn't technically have any difficulty towing said ships. That at least is my interpretation.
 
I'm not sure what you mean about the crew since there isn't any way to get rid of them short of blowing up the ship. Marines are a separate thing.

Also, as flagged by Ben2 and others, a tractoring ship can't tow a tractored ship with a higher starting damage score than itself, so only one ship in the game can currently tow a large freighter and it takes a dreadnought to tow the small freighter (which is only the size of a cargo pod).
 
You have likely seen it but on the ADB forum/BBS thingy it says this is fixed in the forthcoming errata - your/ Bens ideas seem a good basis and hopefully the errata will be similar.....
