ACTA: SF Bypassing Shields

Hello everyone! New player here and I just had a few quick questions.

When you roll a 6, the shot bypasses the shields and then you get to roll on the attack table. If you roll a 1 though, is there no damage caused by the weapon?

Also, if all the shields are down and all weapons are bypassing shields, do you still roll on that attack table? If so, could it be possible that all your attack table rolls could come up 1 and cause no damage?

Greg is correct, but in more detail:

Phasers are precise weapons.
Precise adds +1 to rolls on the attack table.
d6 + 1 gives results of 2 - 7. This means a phaser will never score a bulkhead hit and will score a critical hit 33% of the time.

Thanks for the clarification! I was all excited as my first shot in my first game passed the shields and scored a critical on the Klingon impulse drive.

Great game, I look forward to playing some more :D
