ACTA RIP....

What the frack? No Omicron, Neroon, G'kar, TLT Vorchans, TLT Valen...

14 pages in one day... Can't bear to read them all. Very sorry to hear this... Luckily the community will survive... It has to!

Hmm I presume it is all tied up with the B5 RPG ? Is there any chance of impact on that line?

No impact is predicted.

regarding S+P is support still continuing on ACTA within this and is there any chance of the "annual" update book youb mentioned previously still happening?

That is the intention. We will likely change the focus from a 'new fleets and ships' book to one concentrating on a camapign (like the 1e Earth-Minbari War). Happy to gauge people's thoughts on this - what would you like to see?

Hey, Lone Gunman

Haven't you read the background yet?

Every indication is that it was a choice between figure production being cut, and the whole company going under. If they had gone for the latter, what would have happened to figure production, or even ACTA itself, then?

You talk as if they wanted to do this just to spite you personally, so please put your anger back in the box and chill out a bit.

Would love to see campaign books. Especially if they feature "themed" fleet lists

Personally, I would like to see new ships for existing fleets that have a stamp of "officialdom" even if there are no minis to support them. W.r.t to campaign books, I think the community already provides a lot of good quality work.

Regards,

Dave

So the same procedure as every time. When you criticise them, they delet you.

If comments are distinctly unhelpful or rude, yes. We did give a warning.

They should open their ear and read the post and should hear the screams of their customers. And what they would hear is that their decision is not liked.

We get that. We got that before we made any announcement at all. However, consider a poll;

1. CTA miniatures are cancelled, with due warning, and discounts to boot.
2. You roll dice and gamble on whether the parent company is still around in 12 months.

Guys, we don't do this on a whim. We do it because it is necessary. We can see problems coming up, and take action to avoid them becoming an issue. Anything else would be extremely irresponsible. It would cost jobs, and the last thing the hobby games industry needs right now is another company disappearing.

It is a kick in the teeth - we know that. I have worked and bled on CTA for years now, and I certainly feel the pinch that losing miniatures causes. My heart and soul is in this game.

But it is necessary.

Varients of existing ship hulls are a good way to go to introduce new ships using existing figures/counters. Those of us that have the figures can use them, and for those without they can have nice, shiny new counters!

I`m voting against as well.. I have all fleets (17 btw, not 13...) and a group, but without theoccasional new ship and project to start (the now never be Ipsha for example as was rumoured) makes it will all start to dwindle, and a booklet can`t stop the tide.

It`s a consumers market, and when no models are available, a wargamer`s stash lowers and we now what happens once someone has painted all their models.

Campaing books are nice, but of what value are they when no one is there to buy/play them and no minis for the ships used in them are available?

So Mr. Sprange. Tell me, who is ActA supposed to survive when you can only buy a rule and a fleet book?

And a vote for.

I am shocked and upset at all this (as I imagine we all are) but let's make the best of a bad situation

Yes some more Earth-Minbari style books are better than nothing

Earth-Minbari war (typos aside) was one of the best books of the range
