ACTA 2ed - resolving critical hits

Folks,
I have been thinking it over and I am begining to wonder if I have been resolving critical hits incorrectly.

For example I have a ship that has recieved multiple critical hits.
reactor hit #2 - capacitors damaged - (-2 speed, and all wpns -1 AD)

on the next turn do I
a. resolve the capacitor hit
or
b. repair either the (-2 speed) or the (all wpns -1 AD)
 
Answer A is correct, a critical effect that causes multiple penalties is completely fixed when the original critical is repaired.
