A goofy observation & die 0-9...

I'm new to Lone Wolf so bear with me.

The die is read 0-9 in all instances of the game, correct?

High rolls are always to the player's benefit, correct?

Then why is the roll of 0 on the Combat Results Table the most player beneficial result instead of 9? Shouldn't 0 be at the top of the chart and therefore worse than a 1?

The thing is in the Books '0' is Wild like an Ace - sometimes it is very beneficial sometimes not.

For instance I rule that when you fire an Arrow you imediately pick a Second Random Number, if the Second is HIGHER than the Arrow is retrievable - so a '0' on the Combat results would indicate a Clean Kill.

It's whatever works for you.
