A few gripes

Not too harsh though! First off, enjoy the game and looking forward to more play. Why were there no quick play reference cards included with rulebook? How about an available pdf download?

I have fleet cards on order but I see it will be a while now. Anyone create a generic pdf for use yet?

Thanks! I would have still liked a good quality card stock stat sheet but the download will certainly work better than trying to flatten my book on a copier.

We will be running a few games tomorrow with some new players. I cut out the special orders counters and glued them to poker chips. Nothing about the orders is really mentioned about giving the orders other than in the movement phase before any ships move. I had the idea of having players put their special orders face down at the beginning of the turn, then when they activate they reveal their orders. I thought it may add some unpredictability, thoughts?

That's not quite correct. Special Actions are selected when you pick an individual ship (or squadron) to activate, not before any ships move.
