Greetings to all Howard-Fans!
I am Andradir, Nemedian Guard. In Real Life my Name is Georg, member of Star Wars' 'Rebel Legion' and webmaster of the German Base Yavin. It is time for all who call themselves "Hyborians" and dress up as Cimmerians, Aquilonians, Buccaneers or whatever your choice is, to show ourselves to the world.
I would like to propose a club for all the "Barbarians", "Hyborians" et al, of the world. This "club" could be for all who have made or bought Hyborian costumes. This gathering or "Circle" could be in the same spirit as the Star Wars costuming clubs like "The Fighting 501st" or the "Rebel Legion". These are wonderful groups who started out by sharing pics of their stormtrooper and rebel-trooper costumes on the internet. They then started meeting at conventions and in their home towns. These groups have also done charity work when and where they can.
I suggest that we first find out who might be interested in the idea. My suggestion for the name of that group is "The Hyborian Circle".
If you are interested in the idea of bringing together Hyborian costuming fans all over the world. you may like to drop me an email webmaster@hyborianworld.com or visit the project's website: http://hyboriancircle.hyborianworld.com
Any ideas and suggestions are welcome.
