Can you post for those who don't have (or understand ) twitter thanks

We have started working on Traveller: Armageddon 2089. No release date set yet, and it will be a PDF only release - but a very pretty one!

Apoc's prediction: in 5 years, a "PDF only release" will be unremarkable and it will not negatively impact sales. In fact, I could see electronic RPG books outselling print in 5 years. (You may think I'm being silly, but look at ebook sales in the last 2 years!)

With sites like drivethru rpg that watermark the buyers name into the pdf to stop piracy and many rpg companies shying away from the printed format already, I think we're already on the way. :)

If you look at the market and the trends in publishing Print on Demand is beoming an option for buying totaly digital books.

Rather than a few years ago hunting for pdfs or reader versions of books so you can take them with you rather than hauling several dead trees around we are fast reaching the point where you buy the data folder and can have a personal printed version for those old fashioned (and old) types like me that enjoy an evening with a good book (printed paper, hardback).

For 2089. Outstanding. Not sure how Traveller will merge with the Btech offshoot combat systems but any game that starts with nuking a large european city just has to be kept going.

Anyway the shotgun mike saga needs to be continued, it was cruely cut off with Britain still suffering the tread of Euro mechs and the loyalists holding on to half of the country. There is lots more to tell in the saga of Britain regaining its independance from the Euro scum and throwing them back into the channel.

Even if they do nuke (censored to avoid spoilers..................................................) in the process.

Um... I know about 8 or 10 people who are skilled with PDF editors and strip that watermark out of every PDF they buy or find elsewhere.

It only stops us lesser skilled (and more honest) gamers from doing likewise.

Excelelnt looking forward to hearing more in due course. Traveller is not my scene but this may bode well for the novels to continue :)

Shush, don't say that.

We are supposed to be keeping secret the fact that this is all a plot to get the other shotgun mike novels out and the actual rules are less important.

Oops

My first thought on reading that was 'huh? but he got out of the camp and he's currently... ***************************************************************************'

But that's in Standing Firm, which is half written and nobody's seen the manuscript.

Which means you also don't know about *************************************************************************

oh well, never mind.

I have the advantage of having seen the manuscript for Standing Together, and goddamnit I want to see the rest of the novels.

What say you MAtthew, any chance of seeing MJD's sourcebook and novels in print?
