2E Dilgar

Any sneak peaks or previews on the dilgar?

Some general questions:
- How many new variants of Dilgar ships are in the book?

- Is the Targrath still as broken as ever?

- Is there a fleet carrier in the list somewhere (probably a Garasoch variant)?

- What is so special about the anti-ship missiles? After reading S&P, they just sounded like disruptor torpedoes with a new name to me...

-What kind of damage are we looking at when we start ramming thorums in the enemy hulls? :p

That's all for now ;)

No. One of the aims of 2e was to balance every ship.

Yes

Well they are. But they are pretty much a standard fit for Dilgar ships, giving the Dilgar the range they sorely lacked.

Buckled hull plating, ruptured power lines, decompression, explosions. :)

that sounds good, looking forward to seeing the new dilgar ships, especially the fleet carrier.

Person fave is the kamikaze fighters...love the sound of those!!! Banzai!!

No. But when you see then new War hulls, you may not be so sure.

Hint: in our preview we saw a 18-die Bolter system on a BATTLE level hull. It was backed up by Disruption Torpedoes.

Eep.

That ship falls under the heading of "kill it before it kills you".

isn´t that true with every opponent in a wargame? Or is this one of those cases where the sheer presence of a ship automatically puts it on top of the priority list?

It would be right at the top of mine! All gank, no tank.

What do you mean "no tank!"
Seriously though. 18 MoD Bolters makes me very happy.

"As I said, there are many more variants of ships. The Jashakar frigate, for example, now has the Jashakar Vi (scout) and Jashakar Tae (torpedo ship), while the Ochlavita gets the Ki, a command destroyer that grants a Pentacon bonuses if it leads."

Those are 3 new variants. I read somewhere of a "missile mankhat" which makes 4...

Then that must mean the Garasoch is a Fleet Carrier as standard? And what is the TorpedoThorum then?

Okay, let me rephrase: How many new variants AND new SHIPS are there in the book? ;)

About the Antiship Missiles... The way I understand it, they are exactly the same as Disruptor Torpedoes, although avaiable in much greater numbers (with a few ships specialising in those missiles A La Apollo). I presume that Jashakar Tae is such a missile ship (although it's name 'torpedo ship' might indicate a new weapon).

About the new war (semi-apoc ;) ) hulls... FINALLY, a war choice that represents the Dilgar at their best (or worst). Horrendous weaponry and light(er) defences.

Thank you Greg Smith, you're my hero :D I never thought Dilgar would get that much attention... time to dust off my collection :D

That's correct.

And what is the TorpedoThorum then?

Well since it has a new miniature, it's not a variant.

One new fighter, four varients (for the Dilgar).

That's about right.

 Ah, shucks!

All Hail Warmster Greg, bringer of Dilgar Goodness, or Nastyness as the case maybe. Lets go conquer a world in his honor.
