"Warmster?" bringer of warmth?

perhaps in the sense of fire! :)

Perhaps. But maybe not...

All hail Greg Smith, Bringer of Warmth, Carrier of Carrion, Prophet of Dilgarness! Or something like that... you know, I can really picture Dwight Schultz yelling that at the top of his voice im the middle of the Zocalo.

 :D

Looks like I´ve made some people happy today!

Omelos is now raid, Rohic is skirmish, Garasoch is raid.

There is another variant - the Kahtrik has a variant. There is an assualt ship and a cruiser. Both at Raid.

Scratch that, you're my superhero :D

Meh, the books'll probably only be in my gamestore in 3 or 4 weeks :(

Peter! If you're reading this... make haste!!!!! :p

Something I forgot to ask... and this could be centauri-related too

What about massdrivers? Have they changed and how? Still only usable on immobile ships or do those lumbering ones count as immobile too? :D

About the priority changes: Finally an assault ship at 3 DIFFERENT priority lvls
Never understood why both kathrik and wahant were both battle anyway.

The Kathrik, cruiser version, at raid... won't he be competing with omelos and targrath? 3 (fast) cruisers on the same priority, I'm anxious to see them ;)

The Garasoch FLEET carrier at raid.. mmm has a nice ring to it. Sadly that probably means either his fighter complement or weaponry is reduced :(

Mass drivers are still Mass Drivers. You'll still almost never fire them. The only change is that Shields, Interceptors, GEGs, and the like are completely useless against them. Meh. Given that some ships have incentives to All Stop and Pivot, you can at least dissuade your opponent from trying that trick.

The Khatrik So (forget the Khatrik!) is a bizzare hull. Think Rongoth from the Narn, but with two Thoruns, less firepower, more range, and bigger. The thing is a brick at Raid priority. If you really wanted to try it, it would be the core ship of a Dilgar "Sumo" fleet of slow-walking doom. The centerpieces would be Wahants (bolters don't slow-load anymore), backed up by Skirmish-level Rohrics. At War level, you'd probably field a Mankhat Py; a Mishakur is only warranted if you want the Command bonus. Against moderate to short-ranged stuff (Abbai, perhaps Brakiri, certainly Early EA with the Flash Missile change, new Centauri, perhaps even Vorlons) it could be pretty rough (Centauri come to mind mostly Immediately.).

The Targrath and the Omelos really occupy the same place in the fleet structure. The Targrath is a (more balanced) ship that you pretty much already know, but now it has some cover in the form of two Thorun Dartfighters. The use of these should be paramount to Dilgar --- we've long since wished we had such a thing, now you do, complete with a (viable) Bomber variant.

The Omelos is smaller, less heavily-armed, but Agile, with Pulsar fire to all sides (like before). Its front guns are now based on Bolters.

The Garasoch is a Dilgar CV wet dream. At least, the version I saw. It gives up almost nothing and gets tons of things at Raid level. You WILL field it. I need to buy several more. It is faster. It is Carrier 3. It is Fleet Carrier. It has the same guns. It is Raid. It is .... perfect.

It is... probably the best Raid-level carrier in the game. The only one I'd have to think about is in comparison is the Brokados.

It seems to me thoruns are more widely spread amongst the different ships... seems like a sweet thing to me!

What's so bad about the normal Khatrik?

The Garasoch seems a wet dream indeed. Going to buy two more as soon as I get confirmation on the stats.

Seems to me the Dilgar is all about different playstyles now. You could be slow and shortranged with lots of assault ships (Rohric still hull 6?). Or you could be fast with lots of targath and omelos cruisers or go long ranged heavy with the different missile ships. One final choice is to go carrier heavy with those improved Garasoch carriers (how many flights do they have anyway? Thoruns still as good/fast/hardhitting as ever?).

Man I could ask more specific questions all day but I think I'm reaching the limit that forum policy allows.

What's happened with the Ochliavatas? They were always my favourite ship for the Dilgar. So widdle and cute with big teeth for a little skirmish ship.

Also always loved the design. Very sleek.

It seems the Ochlavita has turned into a missile ship, while the 2nd dilgar skirmish ship is the Rohric, an assault ship. It seems there are no 'normal' gunships at skirmish lvl anymore.
