2300AD Update

While that is all fine and dandy, let us see an adaptation after the pentapod biostuff is released as a well thought out concept matching the perfectly unique 2300AD setting. Hope that this release will be soon btw.

Again it seems that someone needs to have a word with Mongoose's art department. The cover for French Arm Adventures is up, and once again it's terrible. I don't even know what I'm looking at here:

If these are placeholder covers, can Mongoose just say so? Or are they really that bad at art direction?

<Shrug> This is really the first I've seen of it. I suspect that it is a placeholder until a cover is commissioned. In fact, I suspect the real cover will use this as the background.

I am pretty sure it is a placeholder as my LGS shows the same picture for French Arm Adventures and Tools for Frontier Living:

Well, how about all the old ones? Or at least most of them. Never could stand the sight of the "Invasion" cover  . For those of you who might have missed the previous discussion on cover art, this is a read of rants (justified rants I think).

Finally- if you look close, the current core book cover art has this "not so good looking space, with wire mesh in it" vista as a background, behind the picture of people and landscape, so this might very well be a temporary placeholder.

Also, as my take on the classic quote; "Traveller delenda est". I think that the Traveller logo is given far too much space. Indeed, as a predictable repeat of the early version "traveller 2300" name, people seem to confuse the two very different settings already. I realize that nothing will be done about this, but I can always nag a little.

Now out for proofing...

French Arm Adventures is slower than I would like, but I expect it to be done soon. Work has already started on "Tools for Frontier Living"

Now Matt, please employ a proper proof reader.. please?
I applied for the job... for some reason negotiations fell apart when I insisted on physical Imperial credits - and 5,000 lbs of "Hiver Chow" each month.
