2300AD, not 2320...

Frankly, I'm too lazy to produce web-based stuff.

You know, seeing someone else write 2300AD would probably give me a stroke. I don't doubt that they would do a good job, but it wouldn't be what I would do.

So, I guess I'll have to do it myself. :D

Hoorah indeed!!!!
Colin you are a hero. Thankyou so much for reconsidering.
It woud & could not be the same without you.
I suddenly have real faith in the next 2300 and 2320 incarnation again.
:D :D :D

Thanks. At this point, things are unofficially official. Mongoose needs to work the licensing terms out. Nothing will officially start happening until that issue is locked down, but once it is, look for an announcement towards the last quarter of this year.

Nothing can be confirmed until the licensing is settled. (If) When it is, though, I'm on board. I just couldn't stay away...

Is mongoose looking at a brand new 2300AD license then, or is QLI's going to be cancelled and transferred to them somehow?

I honestly don't know. I'm not privy to most of the details. They do want a long-term license, though, which is encouraging.

I surely hope you have some input. The work you have done for 2320AD was top-notch...it is just too bad it wasn't capitalized upon.

So QLI's the current license holder? I thought it had reverted.
Don't mind me I'm confused. :?

To the best of my knowledge, QLI has a license for the D20 version of 2300AD, not for 2300AD in general.

But I could be wrong. :?:

Excellent news! When it comes out (and when I've saved the money, now that I'm employed again--but GURPS Psionics is coming first), I'm buying it!

Does that include the rights to the 20-year-later update of the setting?

Will you (i.e. MGP as an organization) be including a colonial atlas?

Colin said:
Yes. QLI owns 2320AD outright. Except for the design sequences.

That's something of a shame; I've always wanted to see what you did with it, but haven't had the money (and now that I'm employed that money's going to bills). But here's not the place to argue over IP laws.

The immediate plan, assuming things work out, is:
Main Book
(and in no particular order)
Ship Book
Campaign Adventure
Atlas of the French Arm
Atlas of the Chinese Arm
Atlas of the American Arm
Core Worlds
Alien Worlds
Vehicle Book
Equipment Book

The main book will include an Atlas section. There will be more detail on each colony world than the original 2300AD, but far less than the Colonial Atlas

Colin...maybe you could write 2319 or 2321AD 8)

Sounds great...see if you can some of those great artists that you pulled in for 2320AD and if Mongoose is going to colour...

Remember, emphasize the Canadian angle as we have always talked about...schemed...discussed.

Gah!!!! Not the Canadians*! Please, lord, no, no, no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P :P :P

If you do the Canadians, you have to include the Aussies as well.

It's ok, I'm not really dissing Canadians. My primary income is for a Canadian company I subcontract to.
