I've painted up the 1:600 scale spotters that I bought from Dom's Decals :

The bases and the magnets holding the planes to them are also provided by Dom's Decals.

The planes come in two parts, the upper wing is separate. I'm not sure if I was doing it wrong but they too a bit of sanding and filing to make them fit together nicely.

I did find the construction and painting overly fiddly until I realised that I could paint them while on their stands. You can put some paper towelling between the magnets on the model and the base and they will hold it strongly enough to paint, they're good magnets.

The service I got from Dom's was great. Confirmation emails to show that the order had been received and then had been dispatched. Very impressive.

I'll be using them again. Well I've kind of got to. You need twice as many magnets as bases, because each model needs two of them, which is kind of obvious, unless you're me.....

I've got some 1:600 Arado spotters that are next in the queue once I get some more of those magnets.....[/url]

Erm, whoops?

I do have some 1:300 planes and I just had the number in my head I guess.

Curses.
