Here's the exact text of the rule in question:
My reading is that a player can put the fire zone anywhere they want as the centre of the fire zone does not need to be an enemy model. All the text that follows is in the form of an example, rather than a rule.
Your opponents, who choose to...
It can be selected at any time as specified by the rules--at least that's how I read it.
Example 1 is appropriate. Example 2, however, would require the RPG gunners to be in line of sight of the shooting unit--and in this case, the MEA squad would likely block LOS to the RPGs. According to the...
No, it means that a squad cannot be affected by a fire zone it creates.
Of course, if there's another friendly squad that wants to create its own fire zone that catches the first squad in it...well, can you say friendly fire?
Resolve fires zones separately, to avoid confusion. Resolve reactions after all fire zones from the same shoot action have been dealt with.
Now, if the separate fire zones are covering substantially the same area, then I would say that you are actually creating only one fire zone.
Remember...
After some great comments over at evocommand.com, and here as well, the card at the start of this thread has been updated and has replaced the original file. Thanks everyone!
Inspired by Hiromoon's unit cards, I used his Blank Mercenaries Card to create a special unit for smaller, scenario-based BFE games. The idea behind the unit is to represent the typical Executive Protection Detail in hostile nations. They would accompany ambassadors, judges, politicians, and...
What animation program are you using for this?
The model looks good, but to add some realism, I would suggest adding some micro-bevels on the sharp edges you have there. A small 1mm to 2mm rounding of those edges will allow the software to catch the light and shade the edges more...
Corgi did some vehicles in 1:64 scale, including HMMWVs--but on reading the description, it appears that this one is actually 1:144th scale. You may want to contact the seller to confirm before you buy one.
does not reconcile with:
Corgi infantry is about 3 mm shorter than the BFE miniatures, but about the same heft. It's made from a very bendy plastic, and painted to a much lower standard than BFE.
It can be used as a proxy, but I personally would avoid it.
Yeah, but most of those alternatives leave a great deal to be desired in terms of playability. Especially if they're OGL.
Nothing against OGL for fantasy, but for moderns, the rules are pretty creaky. I ran a Stargate SG-1 RPG session a couple of years ago. Rather than trying to work my way...
