    Conan figures coming soon!

Here is a press release about the wargames show this weekend in London (Salute), it was posted on The Miniatures Page (http://theminiaturespage.com/news/638184) today. Read down to the last paragraph and you will see that there is mention of a range of Conan figures. So I guess they are still...

    Kull Source Book?

I would love to see it, but I imagine that there would be licencing problems (i.e. I doubt Mongoose has permission to use the Kull background).

    Red Sonja - The Movie

Yep, it's a crappy pastiche! If they had had any money to spend on it they would have called Arnie "Conan". Nothing about the Red Sonja film has anything to do with REH's work, so enjoy it for it's other redeeming features (if you can find any).

Is Hyboria and Hyperboria the same thing?

There may not be a land called Anglo-Sax, but there is a region in England called East Anglia which is derived from the Angles (which were one of the two tribes that made up the Anglo-Saxons - The Angles and the Saxons). Of course, there is also a region in France called Saxony.

    Cinematic inspiration

None of those, this was the whole film set around the backward and forward goings on of trying get across the river/ trying to stop the opthers getting across. Sounds lame now but the movie in question had sorted out a reasonable plot around it.

    Cinematic inspiration

I remember, years ago, watching a western that is all set around a ferry crossing a river (one of those with a rope that is slung across the river that ferry/raft is pulled back and forth across). The plot revolved around the good guys being on one side and the bad guys on the other. Can't...

Ebob Miniatures mongol figures are ideal for Hyrkanians

I just bought a set of his new mounted "Tribes of the East" figures and they are ideal for Hyrkanians (or Easterlings if you go for the more traditional fantasy settings). Have a look, they are on offer during December! www.ebobminiatures.com :D

Red Sonja; She-Devil with a Sword.....

Surely Conan would not be seen dead in a silk loincloth, it would be leather or fur (fur for the winter in Cimmeria of course). As for Sonja, she is is not Turanian, she is Hyrkanian, you are on the wrong side of the Vilayet Sea. This would make her a steppe nomad (like Subotai in the first...

    Map of Gurps CONAN?

Your map is from a Marvel magazine called something like Gazzetter of the Hyborian World. It was published in the same size and format as their colour Conan comics and has a description of each of the main countries (at least from a Marvel point of view). Very useful as reference for RPGs, at...

    Extending the Conan RPG

I found a Solomon Kane free RPG on the web a few years ago. Don't know much about it as it was in French, and I don't speak/read French. It was a pdf so I couldn't even put it through an online translator. Anyone want to hunt it down and translate it let me know and I will point them in the...
