    RQ OGL & BRP

Thanks. I got word from Matthew that the OGC content is open game, no pun intended. The SRD of the RQ core rule book explicitly delineates each section as being OGC. The RQ Monsers and Companion SRDs do not. Over at the BRP forum the question arose regarding this-- is the material in the SRDs...

    RQ OGL & BRP

I'm writing a fantasy mini-campaign/setting for Chaosium to be published as a Monograph. The line between what is 'Basic Roleplaying' and the OGC of RQ seems a little blurred. Is it legal for me to utilize RQ OGC in a BRP supplement? Incidentally, Chaosium's Monographs are limited edition...

    Rebinding defective hardcovers.

Have the pages actually started to fall out yet? I managed some preventive maintenance by pushing Elmer's Glue into the area between the bound pages and the outer spines of my books (using thin wooden stir sticks--my local cafe loves me).

Becoming a 3rd Party MRQ Publisher

Hi Matthew, thanks for taking the time to read my post. Essentially everything-- From what I can tell so far anyone can use the SRD to publish RQ material "so long as they follow all the requirements laid out in the Open Game License". I'm not entirely sure what the requirements of the OGL...

Becoming a 3rd Party MRQ Publisher

I have a dark fantasy campaign setting that I've been working on for a very long time. It's my baby--a labor of love. Rich eldritch history with many unique characteristics. I think that it would make an ideal RQ or BRP setting. Potentially to be included is a full adventure campaign that...

Getting lost in a jungle/weather conditions

I have yet to find rules for getting lost in jungles/forests whatever. I'm assuming a Survival check and then maybe rolling a d8 to determine the actual direction the party is heading. Anybody have any ideas? Also, if anyone has suggestions how to handle the effects of weather conditions on...

    Aiming

Thanks for the responses. That's what I assumed, but just wanted to clarify.

    Yanking out an impaled weapon

I meant the attacker, the guy who's doing the impaling.

    Aiming

Regarding aiming, Page 45 states “This bonus only applies to the first attack the character makes with the weapon…” Does ‘first’ mean the first attack the character makes in the Combat Round? Could he aim on subsequent Combat Rounds? That’s what I’m assuming, but just want to clarify…

    Yanking out an impaled weapon

Is it a free action, or does it require a Combat Action?

    Damage Modifier and Ranged Weapons

Page 53 informs that the Ranged Weapons table on page 37 tells us which weapons we can apply damage modifiers to, but I don't where the table delineates that. Is it right under my nose or a typo?

Cultural Backgrounds and Professions: Doing the Math

Excellent. Thank you! 90 (excluding native language and regional lore, which is the same for all characters). Essentially a buck fifty.

Cultural Backgrounds and Professions: Doing the Math

It looks like all of the cultural backgrounds and professions in the core rule book have an even value in percentiles (70 for backgrounds and 50 for professions-- I think). I was just flipping through the Companion book and, unless I’m missing something, there’s no consistency regarding point...

    Two Quick Somewhat Minor Questions

That's what I meant-- should have put in M in front of the RQ. I actually have all the editions on my shelf (accept for the first-printing paperback edition, which I tossed because it was falling apart). I’m really happy to see what Mongoose has done with it. A lot of the little things that used...

    Two Quick Somewhat Minor Questions

I was thinking about this on the way home from work today (shows you how obsessive I am). The ‘whoever rolls higher’ in a match wins method, really isn’t very intuitive to me. When I read it I thought it might have been typo, hence this thread. I hate to admit this because it displays a...
