Zhodani and Campaign Guide delays

OK, I see. Sorry, I don't know if Don has made any changes to the UWPs. The manuscript is literally in its last day or so before it gets sent off to the Mongoose sausage factory to be turned into a tasty and nicely presented meal. :D Just how long that extra cooking will take, I don't know.

I'm sure he'll do fine with it. So long as it's close to the GT Zho stuff, with his own spin on it, I'll be happy.

I notice the Campaign Guide is conspicuously absent from the release schedule. Any word on when this most eagerly awaited Supplement will be released?

Actually, since GT is an ATU and copyrighted, that might be a bit difficult to pull off.

We have a new draft in that I need to take a look at. It will either be good, and back into the schedule, or not, and back into a rewrite!

*SIGH*

Copyright is not this intellectual straight jacket everyone seems to think it is.

Just because someone draws a guys with a sword does not mean no one else can draw a guy with a sword. It just means they cannot be too identical. So they can't use the same words (IE copy sentences, etc...), they cannot present it in the same layout, cannot use ideas UNIQUE to that work only, etc... but they could present SIMILAR material and ideas. Just not too IDENTICAL.

So it is possible. Doesn't mean they will do it, but they could.

I hope it's good! I need that book!

I, uh, triple that sentiment.

This is going to be a major selling point that could help Mongoose Traveller stand out in the RPG market. It's already super user-friendly but with lots of depth and flexibility. The Campaign Guide should, just short of, automate sprawling adventures for those busy older roleplayers who just don't have time for much prep.

Definitely appreciate they're taking the time to get this right. That's encouraging!

Yes, Matt, we're building this thing up to be the RPG product of the decade! Take your time and make this one count!

At the moment I cannot find anything about the Campaign Guide at all on the Traveller page... (current or upcoming)... what gives?

Good. I'm planning on a 3I game in about a year, and I'm hoping to have Dynasty as well as the Campaign Guide by then, along with all the other stuff on the schedule!

As long as he didn't use the GT version of the Addaxur...

It will be back on the Traveller page very soon!

Any additional updates on this?

And how likely is it that Supplement 5 & 6 will actually be out in July?

I'm scheduled to GM again probably around October, and I'd LOVE to have all the books currently listed as well as Dynasty and the Campaign Guide.

Any chance of that happening? :D
