World At Weird War

Has anyone tried to fight a battle between WaW armies and the WotS lists? I spent most of the morning building Valiant Miniatures "tommies" and Armorfast Achilles in a less then well aired room. It got me thinking (and I am sure the fumes helped) about trying a "what if" mission between WWII British and a few Arachnid swarms. I was just wondering if anyone else has tried this before? I would think the longer range of the British compared to the Mobile Infantry would be a big help along with their greater numbers. Their single shot guns without auto might be a handicap but a few vickers well placed along with as many Bren guns that I can muster might make up for that, expecially when prone. Any thoughts?

well you could do it as the stats are sorta iteractive with each other, just be aware that the poit values wot be right and it would be more suitable as a senario game.

im planning on a german V skinies game, sorta a what if a UFO laded in war torn germany.
