Why does everyone keep asking how to convert conan to D&

Just Image your characters with a load of magic items, it would break the system and make for a pretty dull game.

The main point of the Conan system is to make the game rules, particularly the sorcery as much like the written Conan stories as possible, Converting it to a system because you prefer the mechanics (or are more familiar) with them is fine (Mongoose might have a different opinion) but if you alow for example a by the book A.D.& D. Priest into the game with Cure light wounds and the usual battery of spells then you lose the feel of the Conan stories and are left with a game that is just another A.D. & D. game.
